Services for Mrs. Hazel B. Travis, 83, of Dresden, were held at 1:00p.m. Wednesday, May 16, at the Bowlin Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ivie Powell officiating. Burial was in the Sunset Cemetery.
Mrs. Travis', widow of John W. Travis, died Sunday, May 13, at the Volunteer General Hospital in Martin.
A native of Weakley County born September 14, 1906, she was a member of the Airpol Church of Christ in Lansing, Michigan. She was Preceeded in death by her husband and a daughter, Mary Hazel Mellar.
Surviving are two sons, Joe Porter Travis of Dresden and Paul Edward Travis of Lansing, Michigan; a brother, John Tatum Oliver of Dresden; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
