Johann Castor Adams, son of Johann Peter Adams and Anna Gertrude Gilles, married Margaretha Jax, daughter of Mathias Jax and Maria Elisabeth Schneider, on 28 November 1815 at St Kastor Catholic Church in Weiler. Johann Castor and Margaretha were the parents of six children known, in birth order, Henricus b 12 Dec 1816, Anna Maria b 26 Dec 1821 (Mathias Bantes), Maria b 13 Sep 1824, Nicolaus b 23 Jan 1826 (Anna Maria Steffens), Margaretha b 10 Jan 1829 and Peter b 22 Jun 1831 ~ Their son Nicolaus (Nicholas) emigrated from Germany and arrived at Port of New York on 22 December 1855. He was among the early settlers of Johnsburg, McHenry County, Illinois. He and his family, later moved to Stacyville, Mitchell County, Iowa, after January 1873 ~
