Juanita Arthur Crawford, 91, a loving mother, grandmother, great-great-great-grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully on Monday, Oct. 24, 2016, at home. Graveside service: 3 p.m. Thursday in the Memory Lawn section of Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: Open. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you share flowers or a plant with someone in your family, hospital or nursing home between now and the end of the year. Juanita was born March 26, 1925, in Cando, N.D., the youngest of seven children, to Anna Matilda and John Arthur. She moved to California in 1944, working for the military, making and packing parachutes. She met and married James Raymond Crawford and moved to West Fort Worth in 1946. They lived in the same house in Ridglea for over 50 years. She loved cooking and entertaining with her family and friends; dedicating time to Western Hills Church of Christ and Legacy Church of Christ; working in her flowerbeds; making ceramics; sewing little girl dresses; and designing flower arrangements. She was a supervisor at Bandera Hat Factory, a seamstress at Kid's Creations and made draperies and tablecloths for Ellison's of Fort Worth. Survivors: Sister, Leora Jones of Montana; daughter, Judy Witt of Hurst; son, Roland Crawford of Minnesota; daughter, Janet Dzendzel of Euless; grandchildren, Melissa Witt, Cindy Dalton, Jeanette Hegwood of Texas, Tina Fobes, Tracie Kresse, Tami Hansen and Tonya Owens of North Dakota; 17 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and other extended relatives.
