Beverly Jean Brian Yost returned to her heavenly home on April 9th, 2013.

On June 6th, 1941, Beverly Jean Brian was born to John and Ruth Brian in Pocatello, Idaho. She was the second of four children. She spoke often of attending Lincoln School as a child which was located across the street from their home. She was raised with dancing lessons and piano lessons and loved music very much. Junior High School found her at Irving Junior High School. From there she attended school at Pocatello High School. She was a member of choir, pep club and Future Nurses of America.

As a freshman student at Pocatello High School a very bad case of flu was followed by Type I Diabetes. This didn't stop her at all as she lived with Diabetes for 57 years but still raised a family and worked at a full time position as a registered nurse. That was a medical miracle; it didn't stop her at all. She was a member of the class of 1959 of Pocatello High School.

Then Beverly graduated with a B.S. in Nursing from Idaho State University with honors in 1963.

On July 13th, 1963 she married Denis Yost. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple. They spent 49 plus years happily married, just missing their 50th wedding anniversary by 3 months. But counting the years they courted, they were partners and best friends for 55 years.

After the wedding Denis and Beverly located for 4 years in Salt Lake City, Utah. Beverly worked as a Public Health Nurse in Salt Lake City as Denis worked at Holy Cross Hospital and completed his M.B.A. at the University of Utah.
Beverly and Denis adopted their daughter, Jenny, right before leaving Salt Lake City to move to Kennewick, Washington where Denis accepted a position at Battelle Northwest Laboratories.

The next move found them in Helena, Montana where they spent 32 years. Beverly worked as a Medical Surgical at St. Peter's Hospital at that time. Those years in Helena saw their family grow when Bret joined the family in 1972. That was a happy time for the couple as they had many camping trips to Yellowstone and Tetons. Beverly also designed her dream house and they fulfilled that dream.

After Denis retired as Director of Pharmacy there they got the call to Coeur d'Alene and Kootenai Medical Center. Right before they moved Beverly fell in church and broke her hip. It never was the same after the repair.

Denis and Beverly took many trips together. As Denis would attend state and national meetings Beverly would accompany him. Many times after the meetings they would rent a car and explore the surrounding country together. Their favorite trip was to Ireland where Beverly saw her forefathers (the O'Brien's) country. Their favorite spot to visit was Washington D.C.

Bev was extremely patriotic and loved her country and her church deeply. Her favorite saying was by Eleanor Roosevelt which she always kept on her desk "It is not fair to ask of others what you are not willing to do yourself".

Denis and Beverly moved to Coeur d'Alene in 2002 and their present home in Hayden in 2003.

She loved people and spent her whole life serving them. She loved her children dearly and her grandchildren absolutely. She also had great love for MacDuffie her Scotch Terrier. Her 12 year old Scottie died 2 days before Beverly passed away so we know he is at her side in heaven.

Beverly was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Denis; her two children: Bret Yost, of Pocatello, ID, and her daughter, Jenny Rider (Rory), of Coeur d'Alene, ID; and six grandchildren: Mariya Rider, Kayla Rider, Jonathan Rider, Vanessa Rider, all of Coeur d'Alene, ID, and Dallin Yost and Jayden Yost, of Pocatello, ID.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Church, 407 Honeysuckle Ave., Hayden at 10 AM, with a visitation at 9 AM.
