Beatrice Bang Buurman, 88

A homemaker and member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Beatrice Buurman, 88, died Friday, June 5, 1998, in Vancouver.

Mrs. Buurman was born Sept. 8, 1909, in Mekinock, N.D., and moved to Vancouver in 1946. Her maiden name was Bang.

She lived at the Cascade Retirement Center for the last two years.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Albert, who died in 1994.

Survivors include one son, Edward of West Linn, Ore.; three daughters, Alberta Hanson of Vancouver, Shirley Moen of Grand Forks, N.D., and Joan Dickson of Ocean Park; one sister, Mildred Swanson of Renton; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
