Owen Weaver, Johnsonville, Dies; Long-Time Farmer
Owen A Weaver, 90 of Johnsonville, died Thursday, May 6, 2004 at 3:50 p.m. in the Clay County Hospital, Flora.
He was a retired self-employed farmer.
Services were held Monday (today) at 10 a.m. at Hosselton Funeral Home in Cisne with Bryan Bennett officiating. Burial was in the Round Prairie Cemetery.
Owen was born June 22, 1913 in rural Johnsonville, the son of Frank and Lillie Church Weaver. He married . . . on March 30, 1940 in rural Wayne City.
Mr. Weaver was a member of the Johnsonville Ruritans, Farm Bureau , Round Prairie Baptist Church. He had been a 4-H volunteer for 40 years, had been a member of the Berry School Board for 20 years and had served on the Wayne County Board for 20 years.
Survivors include his wife: a son, . . . ; two daughters, . . . ; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents two brothers, and five sisters.
