FOCKE, C. Jane, age 96, departed this life on Thurs., Oct. 20, 2016. Jane was born on Aug. 6, 1920 in Greenfield, Ohio, the daughter of Ralph Clyborn and Martha (Hallam) Clyborn.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John E. "Jack" Focke and son-in-law, Kenneth R. Smith.

She was a long-time member of Immaculate Conception Church in Dayton. Additionally she was a well loved volunteer at Kettering Medical Center for thirty years in the Patient Relations department. Jane started a Bible study group with her neighbors on Aerial Ave., which continued weekly for many years. She was an accomplished artist in water color medium, discovering her talent at the age of 50, referring to herself as "Grandma Moses". Being a convert to the Catholic Church, she was very devout and grateful to the Focke family for introducing her to the Catholic faith. Jane had a winning personality and a memorable sense of humor.

She is survived by her daughters Susan (Hansel) Alexander and Dorothy (David) Smith, eight grandchildren; Julie, Beth and William Alexander and Tony, Molly, Kenny, Jeanette and Katie Smith, 24 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren along with many nieces, nephews and dear friends. She was dearly loved by everyone she met and will be greatly missed.

A visitation at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 East Stroop Rd., Kettering, OH, 45429.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30am, Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at Immaculate Conception Church, 2300 Smithville Rd., Dayton, OH, 45420, Father Satish Joseph Celebrant.

Burial at Calvary.
