She was born November 23, 1936, in Annapolis, Md., a daughter of Joseph C. and Elsie L. Chaney Clark.

Surviving are five daughters, Linda Carlile of Washington, Patricia Silos of Albuquerque, N.M., Brenda Huber of Canonsburg, Grace Africa of Canonsburg and Darlene Carlile of Washington; two sons, William Africa Jr. of Canonsburg and Glenn Africa of Prosperity; eight sisters; two brothers; 23 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Deceased are a son, James C. Africa, and her longtime companion, Harry Ritenour.
Friends will be received in Salandra Funeral Home, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, Joseph P. Salandra, supervisor, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, December 27, where the services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, December 28, with the Rev. Kenneth Schott officiating. Interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Peters Township.
