Helen Rose Ahrens of Tacoma left for her eternal home with Jesus on June 16, 1995. Helen was born on October 15, 1921, to Frederich and Margaret Ahrens. Her family moved to Tacoma in 1927 and Helen graduated from Lincoln High School in 1941. Following graduation she worked for many years as a medical secretary and then from 1966 until she retired in 1993, Helen was a secretary in the Biology department at the University of Puget Sound. Helen thrived on the stimulation of university life.
