A 64-year-old man was killed in a late Thursday night traffic crash in Kansas City, Kan. The Kansas Highway Patrol identified the victim as Larry D. Johnson of Kansas City, Kan. The wreck occurred just after 11 p.m. Thursday on northbound Interstate 635, just north of State Avenue. Johnson lost control of his car and swerved into another vehicle, the patrol reported. Both vehicles then struck the center median wall. Johnson was not wearing a seat belt. The 46-year-old driver of the other vehicle was wearing a seat belt, according to the patrol. He was not seriously injured.
