Raleigh and Catherine Dills Roper raised their children in Burningtown, Macon County, NC
Grady Dills when he was older came with a horse and wagon and helped move them there near the top of Winding Stairs Road the area was called Briartown. When their ten children were grown, they moved back to Burningtown where they lived in the small square shaped house across from Mt. Sinai Assembly of God Church, then later moved up the road a little ways.
