Christine Minor Williams age 93 of Bishop, GA, formerly of Snellville, GA, passed away Thursday, October 20, 2016.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, William Raymond Williams; her parents, John Andrew and Alma Cora (Craig) Minor; son in law, Ralph Oliver; brothers, Marcus Minor, Keith Minor, Horace Minor, and Hulon Minor; sister, Rebecca Minor.
Christine is survived by two sons and daughters in law, two daughters and son in law, nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren, a sister in law, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Christine was born and raised in the Beaver Ruin community, she went to Norcross High School and later to Rabun Gap Nacoochee College and Georgia State College for Women. She taught school in Snellville before becoming a full time mother and homemaker. She was a longtime member of Snellville First Baptist Church. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and she will be missed by all who knew her.
The Funeral service to celebrate and honor the life of Christine Minor Williams will be held on Sunday, October 23, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel. Interment will follow in the Snellville Historical Cemetery, Snellville, GA. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 22, 2016 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Sunday prior to the service from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
