He was a life long resident of Bon Wier and will be remembered for his ever-present smile and as a loving and devoted friend who always had time for others. He was a master story teller. His love of the woods and his unending search for arrowheads gave him many good stories to tell. Mike grew up in his family saw mill business and was from a long line of timber men. He loved all facets of the saw mill business from which he retired due to his illness. He attended East Texas Baptist College and Stephen F. Austin State University.
