10, 1910. She had at- tended the Excelsior rural school and was a 1930 graduate of Sabetha High School. She married Arthur Beyer on April 8, 1931. They lived and farmed southwest of Sabetha and later farmed 10 miles east of Oneida, Kan. In 1955, they moved into Sabetha.
Through the years, Mrs. Beyer worked as a cook in the Sabetha school lunch program and had been employed in a Sabetha nursing home, a cafe and a department store. Since 1927, she had been a member of the Sabetha Congregational Church. She was a member and past matron of the Sapphire Chapter No. 348 of the Sabetha Order of the Eastern Star.
Surviving are her husband, Arthur Beyer of the Sabetha home; a daughter, Virginia Beyer, Schwigan, Quebec, Canada; three sons, Charles Beyer, St. Joseph, Robert Beyer, Lawrence, Kan., and David Beyer, Olathe, Kan.; two sisters, Naomi Beyer, Sabetha. and Esther McGinty, Wichita, Kan.; eight grandchildren; and five greatgrandchildren. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Sabetha First Congregational Church with burial in the Sabetha Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Popkess Mortuary of Sabetha where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 this evening.
