Whitney, with burial in the Prairie Valley Cemetery ….

Mark was the husband of Dora, born 1883 in TX. Their children were Ruby, b. 1904, Violet, b. 1908, and Inez, b. 1911. From census records, it appears that Ruby may have been Dora's child by an earlier marriage, therefore a step-daughter of Marcus.

I do live close to this cemetery and spent quite a few days taking pictures and trying to figure out some of the names on the old stones. So far as I could find, there were no stones for Marcus or Dora, or else they were unreadable. Probably someone sent the information for their memorials as I would have no way of knowing any facts about them. This is a rather old cemetery, and some of the markers are homemade, and some inscriptions have just worn down to where they are barely there.
They are not my relatives, so I'm pleased to turn them over to you.
