Ralph Greeley Hatfield, 79, of Buskirk, Kentucky passed away Friday, July 7, 2006 in Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Phelps, Kentucky.
Born May 25, 1927 in Buskirk to the late Greeley and Gypsy Hatfield, he was a retired coal miner.
Other than his parents Ralph was preceded in death by his wife Shirley McClanhan Hatfield; two brothers Robert and George Hatfield; three sisters Ida
McCoy, Mary Jane Whitt and Ruth Huff; one son Ralph Hatfield, II; and one grandson, John Huddle, IV.
Surviving him are sons: Lester (Linda) Hatfield of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and Buddy Ray Hatfield of Buskirk; daughters: Judy (John) Huddle of
McCarr, Kentucky, Cheryl Ann Hatfield of Buskirk, and Gypsy (Kevin) Hatfield of Winston-Salem; three sisters: Nellie DeHart of Louisa, Kentucky,
Daisy Burgraff of Buskirk, and Boots Pennington of Delaware; seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be after 6:00 p.m. Saturday, July 8, 2006 at Rogers Funeral Home in Belfry, Kentucky.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Sunday, July 9, 2006 at Rogers Funeral Home with Emery Varney officiating. Burial will follow in Buskirk Cemetery,
Buskirk.
Pallbearers include Buddy Dotson, Michael Kennedy, Sanford Bentley and nephews.
