Rebecca B. Ezzell passed away on June 25, 2013 at home with her husband and daughters in Arlington, Virginia after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Becky was born in Burlington, North Carolina in 1950, the daughter of Clingman Haley Burch and Celia Barrett Burch. Becky attended Louisburg College in North Carolina. and received her AD in 1970. She was married in 1970 to William F. Ezzell and they lived in Greensboro, NC until 1986. While living in Greensboro she worked for a number of years as an accountant for her brother's homebuilding business and a not-for-profit organization.

Upon moving to Arlington she devoted her time to raising her two daughters and volunteer work in the local community including the Williamsburg Women's Club, and various Parent Teacher Associations. She was first diagnosed with cancer in 1996 and from then until her death she devoted substantial time to mentor and support other women dealing with cancer.

Becky is survived by her husband of 43 years, William F. Ezzell; her two daughters, [named]; her two grandchildren, [named]; her mother [named]; her two brothers [named]; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts may be made to Capital Caring (Hospice), 2900 Telestar Court, Falls Church, VA 22042 or The American Cancer Society, Arlington County Community, P.O. Box 1749, Vienna, VA 22183-1749.

Family will receive friends at National Funeral Home, 7482 Lee Hwy, Falls Church, VA for a visitation on Sunday, June 30 from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, July 1 at 11 a.m., also at the funeral home. A reception will follow.
