Mildred I. Dowding, 83, of Olivet, formerly of Charlotte, died Nov. 2,
1996, after an extended illness.
Mrs. Dowding was born in Bellevue Township, Eaton County, the
daughter of Glenn and Myrtle (Felter) Greenfield and had been a life
resident of the Olivet/Charlotte area. She was a member of the Brookfield
United Methodist Church and it's U.M.W.
She is survived by two sons, Bruce (Charlene) Dowding, and Keith
"Skeeter" Dowding all of Olivet; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren;
and two sisters, Beryl Sine of Olivet, and Audrey Wireman of Marshall.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond in August 1981; one
son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Patricia Dowding and their children,
Larry, Teresa, and Jerry Dowding in February 1967; one granddaughter,
Shelly Doty in August 1983; one brother, Laurence Greenfield; and one
sister, Marjorie Laing.
Services were Nov. 5 at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Chapel, Charlotte, with Pastor David Ames officiating. Interment was in the Lee Center Cemetery, Lee
Township, Calhoun County.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Eaton Community Hospice.
