Born on June 8, 1933 in Vandling, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Daniel N. Burns Sr., and Edna (nee' Wilson) Burns. Mr. Burns proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. On November 24, 1956 in Forest City, PA, he married Doreen Jefferson who predeceased him on December 22, 2005.
Mr. Burns is survived by his three sons, Daniel J. Burns and his wife, Lisa, of Poughkeepsie, NY, David Burns and his wife, Cathleen, of Malden Bridge, New York and Steven P. Burns of Milford, PA. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Danielle Daudier and Arianna Burns and two great-grandchildren, Emma and Marc Daudier.
A graveside service and burial will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday July 30, 2016 at Union Cemetery, 1076 Violet Avenue, Hyde Park, New York.
