Josephine Kirk, age 79 of Debord, Ky., passed away Sunday, October 16, 2016 at Three Rivers Medical Center. Born August 26, 1937 in Mingo Co., West Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Jessie and Ester Evans Justice. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by one son, Bennie Bailey. She is survived by two sons: Eugene Bailey and Jessie (Elsie) Bailey both of Lovely, Ky.; three daughters: Martha (Roy) Goble of Debord, Kathy Jude and Darla Bailey of both of Lovely, Ky.; one brother: Millard Starr Jr. of Columbus, Oh.; ten grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00pm Thursday, October 20, 2016 at the Trinity Freewill Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Murphy-Bailey Cemetery at Long Branch. John Horn and Brent Haney will be officiating. Friends may visit the church after 5:00pm Tuesday and until time of services on Thursday. Arrangements are under the direction of the Phelps & Son Funeral Home, Inez.
