Angeline Sprague McNatt, 82, passed away peacefully Oct. 9, 2016, in Fountain Hills, Arizona, after an extended illness.
Born and raised in Anderson, Indiana, Angie was a 1952 graduate of Anderson High School.
She enjoyed a 35-year career at Guide Lamp Division of General Motors in various positions, ending in the Traffic Department as a customer liaison. Following retirement, she and her husband, Ron, expanded their traveling adventures, enjoying many trips throughout the United States.
After living and working in their hometown of Anderson most of their lives, they moved to Fountain Hills, Arizona, in 1996. They quickly fell in love with their new home and climate and established many new friendships there.
Friends, old and new, as well as her family, meant the world to Angie. She enjoyed meeting and talking with local acquaintances as she and Ron visited garage and estate sales throughout Fountain Hills. They also liked antique shows. Angie's caring compassion for others was always evident through her thoughtful conversations, letters and visits.
She continued with her favorite hobbies, especially staying in touch with her Indiana friends by assisting with her high school class reunions and also by preparing scrapbooks of her friends and family. She was creative and artistic and was often seen with a camera in her hand.
Enhancing Ron and Angie's lives throughout their nearly 60 years together were several loyal, furry friends who were happy to be included in the McNatt family. Particularly special were their poodles, Hoover and Louie, last in the line of adorable pets. Anyone who knew Angie probably heard that Louie actually strummed his toy guitar, and Angie proudly showed photos that proved it.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Ronald McNatt, who passed away in 2015; her parents, Louis and Ferne Sprague; and her sister and brother-in-law, Charlotte and Gene White.
Angie is survived by her brother, Fred Sprague (Mary); sister, Connie Magee (John); and nieces and nephews, Terri, Mary Ellen, Catherine, Jon and Allison. Also surviving are several cousins; an aunt; and an uncle.
Angie really appreciated all the encouraging visits, telephone calls, cards, emails and flowers from family and friends throughout her long illness. The family would like to thank all who cared for her, especially her exceptional caregiver, Liz Holzman of Cardinal Home Care, the staff at Fountain View Village nursing home and Sage Hospice.
Cremation has taken place, and no services will be held.
Joint interment of Angie and her beloved husband will be at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona (Cave Creek), in honor of Ron's military service.
