He was born May 8, 1899, at Falk's Store, to Henry and Marie Asmussen. He married Addie May Walker on Jan 6, 1921, in Payette. In 1922, they moved to Longview, Wash., where he worked on construction of housing for the sawmill community. In 1930, they returned to Payette. In 1942, they moved to Portland, where he worked in ship-fitting during World War II. After the war, he worked for the Northern Pacific Railroad Terminal in Portland, until retiring in 1964. They returned to Payette about two weeks ago. He was a member of the Grace Baptist Church, Portland.
Surviving are his wife of Payette; a son, Larry C. of Burns, Ore.; a daughter, June Rutledge of Seattle; a sister Ella Stevens of Boise; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.
