Albina Biermaier, 96, of Browerville, passed away on December 16, 2013, at the Central Todd County Care Center in Clarissa. Funeral services for Albina were held on Friday, December 20, 2013, 1:00 p.m., at Christ the King Catholic Church in Browerville with Fr. Peter VanderWeyst officiating. Interment was held at Christ the King Catholic Cemetery, Browerville.
Albina was born March 12, 1917, in Iona Township, Todd County, to John & Mary (Wrobel) Goligowski. She graduated from Browerville High School and attended business college. Albina worked in Long Prairie until her marriage. On May 7, 1940, she married Matt Biermaier; she and Matt farmed until his passing in 1993.
Albina enjoyed playing cards, doing needlework and always had a huge garden on the farm. She especially enjoyed little children.
Albina was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Browerville, helped with the funeral lunch program for many years and volunteered at Christ the King Catholic School and the Browerville Food Shelf.
Albina is preceded in death by her parents, husband Matt, sisters: Justine, Catherine, Tillie, Irene and Florence; brother Roman, 5 brothers in law, 1 sister in law and granddaughter Georgia.
