William J. Brown Dies; Rites Today

Funeral Services Will Be Held Today At Pleasant Cross Church
William J. Brown, 83, of Mebane, died yesterday morning at 4 o'clock in the Piedmont hospital in Greensboro, following two years of declining health and a critical illness of one week.

Mr. Brown was a native of Randolph County. He moved to Guilford County when a young man and lived there until about four years ago when he moved to Mebane route 1 to make his home with a daughter, Mrs. R. A. Thompson.

Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Pleasant Grove Christian church, of which the deceased was a member since early manhood, and interment will be made in the church cemetery. The body will remain at the Brady Funeral Home at Ramseur until the hour of the funeral.
