Musician. Born Stanley Dural Jr., he originally played organ but after a concert with renowned Zydeco accordion player Clifton Chenier he formed his own Zydeco band and became very popular worldwide. He played alongside various musicians such as Eric Clapton and even the Boston Pops Orchestra. He won an Emmy for his music in Pistol Pete. His band played at several major festival including New Orleans Jazz and Heritage, Newport Folk and Montreaux Jazz Festival. Death was due to throat and lung cancer.
