Ray was born on March 20, 1943 in Duluth, Minnesota to Clarence and Erna (Nelson) Wipson. He attended Hopkins High School as well as the University of Minnesota, Duluth and was a Medic in the U.S. Army.
He is preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Erna.
Ray is survived by his wife Sharon; his sons William, Kevin and Robert; his daughters Erin and Maritt; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A gathering for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 from 6 until 8 P.M. at Dresser-Methven Funeral Home inn Mora.
