Helen May Langford Midgley
Helen, our dear mom, grandma, great-grandma and friend, passed away December 29, 1997. Her family, all of whom will miss her dearly, are comforted in knowing she is in a better place playing the piano for all of the marching angels.

She was born May 7, 1904, to Wiliam A. and Lillie May Langford. She married Virgil J. Midgley August 13, 1932. He preceded her in death in 1983.

Helen was a wonderful school and music teacher for 30 years in Salt Lake City.

She was an Episcopalian, an active member for 71 years and past Matron of Lynds Chapter #1 Order of Eastern Star. She was past Queen of Libia Temple #32, Daughters of the Nile. Her last three years were spent in the Retirement Inn at Cottonwood Creek. She was extremely happy there and the family is grateful to the entire staff for their wonderful care.

She is survived by her son, Jay W. Midgley (wife Kathleen); her daughter, Dorothy M. Ware (Husband Reuel); nine grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at Evans & Early Mortuary, 574 East 100 South, 1 p.m. Friday, January 2nd. Friends may call one hour prior to services. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

It was her wish that contributions to the Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children be made in lieu of flowers.
