Several family trees have her as the daughter of Lucy Preston Baldwin. This is incorrect. She was one of seven children born to Martha Myers who died less than a year after to birth of her last child, a daughter, Martha in 1845. Eleanor's father, Isreal Baldwin, then married Lucy Preston and had at least three more children with her.

DEATH OF MRS. GOSS

Succumbed Suddenly To Heart Failure Yesterday

Apparently in the Best of Health in Early Morning, Her Body Was Discovered by Daughter

Mrs. Eleanora W. Goss, 71 years old, died suddenly at her home, Fifth avenue and Congress street at an early hour yesterday morning. The body was discovered by Mrs. T. T. Reyburn, her daughter, yesterday afternoon when she went to visit her mother. Death is thought to have been caused by heart disease. The funeral will be held tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock. Burial will be in Mt. Muncie cemetery. The Rev. R.B.A McBride of the Presbyterian church will have charge of the service.

Mrs. Goss had arisen at an early hour in the morning and gone to the front porch for the morning paper. She returned and lighted a fire in the heating stove. Then she sat down on the edge of the bed and expired. The paper, unfolded, was found by her side. Mrs. Reyburn had telephoned to her mother early in the morning and received no answer. She went to the house in the afternoon and discovered the body.

Mrs. Goss is survived by Mrs. Reyburn and one son, A.F. Goss of Kansas City, Mo. There are several grandchildren.
