JONES, John It is with great sadness that the family of John Stanley (Sonny) Jones, son of Ellis and Ruth Jones, announces his passing on Sunday, October 9, 2016 at the age of 82 years. Sonny was a retired member of the local 59/20 Electricians Union and a proud sergeant in the US Marine Corps, serving in the Korean War. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He enjoyed the outdoors and was happiest when surrounded by family and friends. He loved his country. Sonny is survived by his wife of 63 years, Josephine. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 12 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Calvary Hill Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 13 at 10 a.m. at Calvary Hill Cemetery in Dallas.
