Mary Alice Acri, 79, of Big Spring, died Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 14, 2016 at the Holy Trinity Catholic Parish. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.
A vigil will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, October 13, 2016 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.
Mary was born December 5, 1936 in Big Spring and married Edward Eugene Acri, April 3, 1953, in Big Spring.
Mary owned the Gregg Street Cleaners that her father started.
She was an accomplished artist and loved needlework.
She also loved watching the grandchildren and their sports activities.
Her mother's family, the Winslows, were a pioneer family in Howard County.
Mary was a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Parish.
Mary is survived by a son, Frank Acri and wife, Mary Ann of Big Spring; a daughter, Veronica "Roni" Dutro and husband, Robert of Leavenworth, Kansas; six grandchildren, Britt Hanson and wife, Natalie, Chris Acri, Kacie Acri and partner, Jeremy Weese, Brian Dutro and wife, Dawn, Robi Dutro and wife, Stacey, Tony Dutro and wife, Monica; and eleven great grandchildren including Gracie Ann Acri and Olivia Acri.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Acri; her parents William Frank and Ellen Mae Rutherford; a brother, Bobby Rutherford and an infant brother
