THEYS – Daniel E., 84, South Fork, died Sept. 17, 2016, at Cambria Care Center. Born Oct. 15, 1931, in South Fork, son of Elmer and Emma (Gertz) Theys. Preceded in death by parents, and sisters, Mary Lejeune and Rosella Perich. Survived by loving wife of 63 years, Doris Joan (Trimbath) Theys, South Fork, whom he married Oct. 5, 1952; son, Chris, married to Maria P. (Kestermont), Sidman; daughter, Debra, wife if Lewis Heckman, Hummelstown; grandchildren, Beth Ann, wife if Greg Bodenschatz, New Germany; Doug Wadsworth, Galveston, Texas; Brad Theys, married to Marjorie (Connonie), Salix; and Kim Wadsworth, engaged to Frank Stodolak, Dillsburg; and great-grandchildren, Gunner Bodenschatz, Katelyn and Madison Stodolak, Tristan Rosenberry and Bethany Brenchak. Dan was a member of First United Methodist Church, South Fork. He honorably served his nation as a military police officer with the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired from the purchasing department at Bethlehem Steel Corp. after 32 years. He cherished his beloved family; enjoyed hunting, fishing and dancing. He was a talented landscape painter and loved the calm blue waters along the shores of the Gulf of Mexico. Honoring his wishes, services will be private. Interment, South Fork Cemetery.
