Robert L. Kepler, 74, of Shintown, died Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2008 at the Sunbury Community Hospital Emergency Room.
He was born Aug. 3, 1934 in Renovo, a son of the late Edwin L. and Ruth E. (Gephart) Kepler.
Robert was a self-employed carpenter for many years.
He attended Grace Baptist Church, North Bend. Robert enjoyed woodworking, hunting, trapping and metal detecting.
Surviving are three sons, David A. (Lisa) Kepler of Olean, N.Y., and Mark L. Kepler and Jeff Kepler, both of Shintown; a daughter, Lisa Brooks of Middleburg; six grandchildren; six greatgrandchildren; a brother, John (Elizabeth) Kepler of Drury's Run; and a sister, Sally Vroman of Renovo.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 6, 2008 at Grace Baptist Church, North Bend, with Rev. Mahlon Nevel officiating. Private interment will be at North Bend Cemetery.
Maxwell Funeral Home, 205 Fifth St., Renovo has charge of arrangements.
