Son of Henry & Anna Maria Acker of Spachbach in Hanau, Alsace. Immigrated with his brother, Henry Acker, from Germany on the ship "Loyal Judith" arriving Sep 25, 1732. On Sep 27, 1743 naturalized by the Supreme Court in Philadelphia. In 1745 was one of the organizers of Ziegels Church. In 1762 he was assessed in Macungie township. Married to Anna Maria. They were parents of one son, Philip Jacob Acker.
