Melva J. Fisher, daughter of Frank and Anna Kasparek Jakabosky, was born on November 14, 1932 at rural Narka, and died at the Cloud County Health Center on October 15, at the age of 71 years.

She attended the public schools of Narka. On April 20, 1950 she was united in marriage to Eugene Fisher, and to this union two sons were born. She was a homemaker and housewife.

She delivered the Wichita Eagle-Beacon newspaper for several years. She attended the Assembly of God Church and assisted with the annual Crossroads Car Show.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Doane Jakabosky, Frank Jakabosky, and Dale Jakabosky, five sisters, Bonnie Lesovsky, Ila Obenchain, Leona Sells, Neva Wyman, and Arlene Jarret Lamson.

She is survived by her husband; two sons, Guy Fisher, Atlantic, IA, and Gary Fisher of Belleville; and two grandsons.

Services were held at the Bachelor-Faulkner-Dart-Surber Memorial Chapel, conducted by Mr. Henry Strnad. Interment was made at the Kopsa Cemetery, rural Cuba.
