Walter Collett, a former resident of Bevier, died last Sunday, Dec. 17, at Springfield, Mo. The remains, accompanied by deceased's son, Clifford Collett arrived her Wednesday night, and were taken to the Christian church where funeral services were conducted yesterday afternoon by Elder S. M. Boyer, the pastor. At the grave in the Bevier cemetery the Masonic fraternity performed their burial ceremony. Mrs. Collett, the widow, was unable to accompany the remains here on account of sickness.
Mr. Collett lived for many years in Bevier and was highly esteemed. He was a brother of John Collett of near Callao. The sympathy of their host of Bevier friends is extended the bereaved family and other relatives.
