Miss Sallie Wade, 72 years of age after a few days illness passed away Thursday evening in her home near Mitchellsburg.
Miss Wade was the younger daughter of the late James and Nackie Walden Wade who were among the pioneer Settlers of the Mitchellsburg section.
Miss Wade had for many years been a member of the Methodist Church and her funeral largely attended was conducted by her pastor, Rev. Stewart of Wilmore from her late residence Saturday afternoon. Burial was in Hill Crest Cemetery.
Surviving her is a sister, Mrs. Logan Webb, Danville and a brother, A.W. Wade, Mitchellsburg.
Those from other points attending the obsequies were Mr. Warren Wade, Detroit, Mrs. Bess Wade, Garnett Wade, Jr., Lexington, Mr. and Mrs. Tomm Cotton, Mr. and Mrs. Dave Lillard, Mr. Will Webb, Harrodsburg, Mr. and MRs. FUNERAL IS HELD FOR SALLIE WADE
Services Conducted Saturday Afternoon At Home Near Mitchellsburg
Perryville, Ky., July 11 - Funeral services for Miss Sallie Wade who died Thursday night at her home near Mitchellsburg, were held at the late residence on Saturday afternoon. The Rev. Mr. Stewart, pastor of the Methodist church at Mitchellsburg, of which she was a member, assisted by the Rev. Johnson pastor of the Mitchellsburg Baptist church, had charge of the service.
Miss Wade was about 72 years of age and was ill only four days before her death. She had spent most of her life in Boyle county, being a highly respected citizen of the Mitchellsburg community for many years.
She is survived by one brother, Bud Wade, of Mitchellsburg, and one sister, Mrs. Logan Webb of Danville.
Following the funeral burial took place here in Hillcrest cemetery.
