Mitchell Aldridge, age 65, Asbury, Mo., passed away on Friday, October 7, 2016, at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, Mo.

Mitch was born March 19, 1951, in Carthage, Mo., and his family moved to Colorado in 1959 where he went to school before joining the United States Army during the Vietnam Era.

After his service to his country, he moved to Minnesota where he spent many years in Andover. He raised his family and worked for Minnco as an electrician. He moved to Joplin in 1989, and has worked for Lozier Corporation since 1994 where he was a powder painter.

Throughout all the years, his passion has been music. He was an accomplished guitar player, playing for several bands in the area including Old Country, among others.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oren L. Aldridge, Sr., and Treva E. Cahoon Aldridge; brothers, Wayne Aldridge, Oren "Junior" Aldridge, and Leonard Aldridge; his wife, Cheryl Aldridge; and long time companion, Mary Baldwin.

Survivors include his daughters, Angela McKenzie (Ian), of Ramsey, Minn., April Hanson (Mike), of Brownian, Minn.; brothers, William Aldridge, of Asbury, Carl Aldridge (Jeannie), of Brooklyn Park, Minn., Merrill Gene Cahoon, of Bollinger, Texas; sister, Mary Louise Victory, of Joplin; grandchildren, Derek Novak, Alec McKenzie, and Evan Andor; great-grandson, Jude Russell Novak; several nieces and nephews.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
