He grew up in West Virginia and Tallahassee, Florida. Brooke joined the United States Air Force and served his country honorably and with pride.
His bravery during the Vietnam War earned him two Bronze Stars, the Humanitarian Service Metal, and the Combat Readiness Medal. He retired from the US Air Force as an officer after serving nearly 28 years.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was also a proud member of the N.R.A.
Brooke passed away on October 3, 2016, in the comfort of his home at the age of 72.
Mr. Lloyd is survived by his wife of 47 years, Virginia (Ginny) Lloyd; his daughter, Charlotte Wadsworth and her husband Mark, both of Baker; three grandchildren, Dylan (Ol' Blue) Wadsworth, Hana (E ) Wadsworth, and Aidan Wadsworth all of Baker; and his brother, Gary Lloyd, of Tallahassee, FL.
A service will be held at Brackney Funeral Service, Wednesday, October 5th at 4:00pm with Pastor Geoff Prowes officiating, with a burial to follow at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, FL. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 3:00pm to 4:00pm at the funeral home.
