Mr. Alfred Logan Cummins, 86 of Berea and formerly of Mt. Vernon, passed away Monday, October 3, 2016 at his home. He was born in Mt. Vernon, KY on November 14, 1929 to the late Ewell and Ina Meadows Cummins. He retired from Parker Hannifin Corporation in 1991 after 35 years as Eastern Division Purchasing Manager, and was a lifetime member of First Baptist Church of Mt. Vernon, having served as Deacon and Sunday School Superintendent for many years. He was a Korean War veteran, having served in the US Air Force stationed at Ladd Air Force Base in Fairbanks, Alaska.

He is survived by his wife Vivian; and three daughters, Pamela and Roy Martin of Mt. Vernon, Jan and Ronnie Parker of Berea, and Kelli and Lionell Miller of Lexington. He was a proud grandparent of Chelsey Parker, Alexandra Martin, and Anderson Miller. Also surviving is one brother, Jimmy Cummins and wife, Midge of Corbin; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Doris Brown.
