PHOENIX, Ariz. - Walter Leroy Adams, 64, was born Oct. 24, 1947, in Lyons, son of Walter O. and Helen M. (Belong) Adams. He passed away suddenly at his residence Oct. 2, 2012.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Linda. Walter graduated in 1965 from Lyons High School, attended Kansas State University, Sterling College and Oklahoma State University, had an extensive career as a hydraulic engineer, and later as a salesman. He lived in Hutchinson from 1971-1978 and worked for Cessna. Walter married Melva J. Smith Jan. 29, 1969. They had a daughter, Jennifer Marie Adams. Survivors: daughter, Jennifer Marie Adams Knudsen (David) of Phoenix, Ariz.; grandsons, Andrew Sanburn and Jacob Knudsen of Phoenix, Ariz.; brother, Gary Adams of Seminole, Okla.
Memorial service 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 15, 2012, at the First Baptist Church, Seminole, Okla.
