Sgt. E.C. Reynolds
Sgt. Edward C. Reynolds, 22, husband of Mrs. Blanch Rose Reynolds of Provo, and formerly assistant manager of the F. W. Woolworth store Ogden, was killed Saturday afternoon in a crash of a heavy bomber near Longview, Tex.
Sgt. Reynolds was formerly assistant manager in Provo, later being transferred to Durango, Colo., and then to Ogden, where he worked for about six months before he was inducted into the army in January, 1942.
He was born in Wellsville. Feb. 9, 1922, a son of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Reynolds. His wife is manager of the Provo Optical Co. Sgt. Reynolds was on his last flight prior to leaving for home on a furlough when the bomber crashed, killing him and six companions.
Surviving are his widow, his parents, and a brother and sister, Lieut. Thomas Reynolds of Camp Giejar, Spokane, Wash., and Helen Reynolds, in the WAC.
