Joy King age 67 of Maryville passed away Monday, October 3, 2016 at the family home. Joy was a member of Faith Encounter Church. She was a loving wife and mother. Joy was a living example of the Proverbs 31 virtuous woman. She was devoted to God and her family. She never met a stranger and loved to laugh. She always trusted in God for everything. Her faith was constant. “Give it to God” she would always say. She showed others how to walk the path of Jesus Christ by her kindness, mercy and courage. She rejoiced to see the Glory of God before leaving this place, her loving husband of 48 years embraced her and said “Goodbye for now I will see you again someday”. She will be dearly missed but never forgotten. Her life is a blessing to all who called her family and friend.

Preceded in death by: Father, Houston Boring; Brother, Kimble Boring.

Survivors include: Husband of 48 years, Carl “Gene” King; Son, Shannon King & Tricia Majors; Daughter & Son-in-law, Amy & Bob Goin; Grandchildren, Jillian King, Carson King, Carlie McDaniel; Mother, Bennie Boring; Sisters & Brothers-in-law, Joanie & Stephen Minton and Tammy & Steve Davis.

Friends may call at their convenience between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Thursday, October 6, 2016 and 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM, Friday, October 7, 2016 at Smith Chapel. Memorial service will be at 6:00 PM, Friday, October 7, 2016 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Mike Williams officiating.
