Knox Rites Are Slated

Funeral services for Willie Dennis Knox, Sr., 79, of Sterlington, were at 2 p.m. today in the chapel of Kilpatirck’s Funeral Home of Monroe with Mike Lane and David Caskey officiating.

Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Knox died unexpectedly Saturday night at Sterlington Memorial Hospital.

He was employed as a machinist for LP&L and a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Myrtle Knox of Sterlington, three sons, W. D. Knox, Jr., of Sterlington, Dan Knox of St. Louis, MO., and Bobby Knox of Ft. Worth, Tex.; two daughters, Mrs. Helen Dupree of Ft. Worth, Tex., and Mrs. Louis McCain of Baton Rouge; two brothers, Asa Knox of Monroe and Grady Knox of Jigger; three sisters, Mrs. Bessie Chapman of West Monroe, Mrs. Nell McClain of Sterlington, and Mrs. Jewell Phillips of Brookhaven, Miss; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Larry McClain, Travis Freeman, Coby Sutherland, Mike Knox, Mike Coburn and Asa Knox.
