Lucy is my 4th great grandmother...She & Eli my 4th great grandfather died on the same day only 7 hours apart.
The story is Lucy had not been well for sometime and thought some rabbit stew would make her feel better. There was a deep snowfall on the ground that day but Eli dressed and went to hunt a rabbit. When he returned he sat in a chair and died at 10am. She died later that afternoon at 5pm. They are buried together in the the same grave in the old part of Knob Prairie Cemetery not far from my 2nd great grandparents James and Elvira Bravard.

They were the parents of eight children:
Hannah born in 1832 married James McLaughlin; James Gale born in 1834
married Rebecca Jane Campbell; Susan Polly born in 1836 married John Adams;
Eli Wilson born in 1838 married John Adams; Samuel Brice born in 1841
married Mary Ann Rightnowar; Daniel Stevens born in 1843 died on his way to the
Army; Ira W born in 1846 married Molly Crouch.
daughter of Amos Fairchild and Hannah Nesler.
