Mr. Austin passed away Monday, September 26, 2016, in Tyler.
He was born April 19, 1943, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to John Franklin Sr. and Ethel Annie Edwards Austin.
Johnny worked as a truck driver for Sawyer Metal. He was a volunteer fireman for the Chandler Fire Department and was a collector of all kinds of old glass and other treasures.
Johnny was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his loving family including his wife of 14 years, Lynn Austin of Chandler; stepchildren, Jason Wellman and wife Leeann of Brownsboro and Matthew Wellman of Chandler; grandchildren, Jason, Cain, Luke, Blake, Gracie and Matt.
Pallbearers will be Ray Taylor, Austin Taylor, Matt Wellman, Jason Wellman, Luke Wellman, Cain Wellman and Blake Wellman.
Visitation is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, September 29, 2016, at Stewart Family Funeral Home, 7525 Old Jacksonville Highway, in Tyler.
