John Aikman, a native of Chicago, Illinois, died in his home in Howe, Indiana after a year of failing health. Mr. Aikman graduated from Howe Military School and attended the University of Michigan. He had been secretary of the Howe Military School since 1934. He was a member of the Episcopal Church, a member of Howe Lodge No. 698, F. & A. M., and was a past president of the Howe Military School Alumni Association. Survivors include his widow, Anne Klopfenstein Aikman; an infant daughter, his mother, Mrs. Minnie Billington Aikman; a sister, Mrs. James W. Carpenter; three brother, Graham, Earle, and Rex Aikman. Funeral services will be held in St. James Chapel at the school. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Skokie, Cook County, Illinois.
