OBITUARY:
Elizabeth (Socci) Bisque

Following a courageous battle with cancer, Elizabeth (Socci) Bisque, 57, of Bridgeport, Wash., passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at Mid Valley Hospital in Omak, Wash. She was born August 30, 1956 at Larson Air Base in Moses Lake, Wash., to Jim and Margaret Ann Socci. Elizabeth was raised in Bridgeport, where she was the eldest of four children.

She graduated from Bridgeport High School in 1976. Elizabeth lived in different states around the country from New York to Florida, where she married Ronald Bisque on August 28, 1987. In 1990, Elizabeth gave birth to her pride and joy, Rachael. In 1994, the family moved back to reside in Bridgeport.

A well-known member of the community, Elizabeth worked at Gross Drug as a pharmacy assistant for almost 20 years, where she developed numerous lifelong friendships. She was most recently employed with the United States Army Corps of Engineers at Chief Joseph Dam. There Elizabeth continued to touch the lives of many, sharing her endearing spirit for life.

Elizabeth was heavily involved with the Relay for Life over the years. She enjoyed meeting every week with her bible study group and watching NASCAR and Golf on Sundays. Most importantly, she enjoyed watching her grandson Hayden, grow.

She is survived by her parents Jim and Margaret Ann Socci of Bridgeport; husband Ronald Bisque of Bridgeport; daughter Rachael Bisque and grandson Hayden Thornton of Bridgeport; brother Ralph Socci of Bridgeport; brother Jim (Joanne) Socci of Spokane; brother David (Shelly) Socci of Renton; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Emerson and Lois Hanford, and her paternal grandparents James and Susan Socci.

On Friday, June 27, 2014 there will be a graveside service at the Bridgeport Cemetery at 1 p.m. Following the internment, there will be a Celebration of Life honoring Elizabeth at the Bridgeport High School Gym at 2 p.m., with a potluck to follow in the Commons.

The family requests that people wear a color of choice, but not black, as the service is not to mourn the passing of Elizabeth, but rather to celebrate her life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made payable to the American Cancer Society.
