Jean was born on September 30, 1949 in Glen Gardner, New Jersey, to John Sr. and Virginia (Ganley) Kiley. She grew up in Hampton and Califon, New Jersey and graduated from High School in 1968.
She married James M. Velard on February 14, 1980. In 1987 she moved to Parma, Idaho and then later to Nampa in 2006.
Jean worked in the mental health field for most of her life, most currently with Idaho State School and Hospital in Nampa, ID. She also was a coordinator at the Parma Senior Center. Jean loved sewing, crafting, darts, cooking, famiy gatherings, shopping, especially at the dollar store, and playing games like Sudoku and Scrabble. She was very fond of her new puppy, Maggie.
Jean is survived by her husband, James; great-aunt, Betty(Elizabeth Todd); nine brothers and sisters; twin brother, John, George (Gwen), Jim (Deedle), Judy (Brian), Alice (Tom), Arlene, Bill (BJ), Ann (Rick) and Ed (Tracy); her five children, Chrissy (Dave), Tony, Cathy (Gerald), Mike (Josette) and Jamie (Ralphie); her grandchildren, Dustin, Tony Jr., Jordan, Magnum, Craig, Josh, Tanya, Joseph, Daeja and Dash; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, including best friend and cousin Kathy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, Jacob, and a son-in-law, Dennis.
