Lena was a twin; her sister was Lela Goosic Stubbs.
OBITUARY:
Lena Leona Goosic, was born June 11, 1913, near Hollinger, Nebr., and died at the home of her parents, Mr and Mrs Bert A. Goosic, November 2, 1929 at the age of 16 years 4 months and 22 days.
She was married to Earnest Sharp on May 23, 1929, at Alma, Nebr. Their wedded life was short, but very happy. They were deeply devoted to each other, being together as much as his work would permit.
Lena was one of a pair of twins. She spent the most of he childhood in the vicinity near Beaver City with the exception of a few years that the family lived near Wilsonville. As a girl Leona's devotion to her mother was apparent, showing it by her willingness to relieve her of many of the household tasks, and many acts of kindness and love. Lena had a sweet and cheerful disposition that won for her a host of friends, both old and young.
Mr and Mrs Sharp resided at Beaver City until a month previous to her death, when they moved to Alma. While visiting at the home of her parents she took ill and her sickness was of short duration. All was done that medical aid, and kind loving hands could do. She passed away peacefully to that land where there shall be no pain, sorrow, or tears.
Mrs Sharp leaves to mourn her loss, a husband, mother and father, a sister Lela Leora Goosic, a brother, Cecil Goosic all of Beaver City. Two sisters preceded her in death, Beulah Marie, ages 6 years and Theda 13 months old. She also leaves two grandmothers, many other relatives and a hos of friends.
Funeral services were held at the Precept church, on Tuesday, November 5 conducted by Rev. W.E. Dysart of the Presbyterian church of Beaver City. Interment was made in the Maple Creek cemetery.
