Forrest Dean Gamel passed away Thursday, September 15, 2016 at the Carnegie Nursing Home at the age of 73 years. Dean was born August 21, 1943 in Carnegie, Oklahoma to Culberson Bryan and Maggie Lorene (Stephens) Gamel. He graduated from Southwestern University in Weatherford in 1971. He served his country in the United States Army and later worked for the U.S. Government grading peanuts all over western Oklahoma. Most recently, Dean was a teller at the Hydro Bank.

Survivors include one brother: Burl Gamel and wife Mildred of Oklahoma City, OK 3 sisters: Doris Rollens and husband Dave of Clinton, Oklahoma
Joyce Thurston and husband Richard of Delano Tennessee
Linda Scott and J.R.Hyder of Carnegie, Oklahoma
Sister-in-law: Sandy Hill Gamel of Layton, Utah
Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Dean was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: W.B. Gamel and Curtis Gamel.

Alfalfa Baptist Church, Alfalfa, Oklahoma
Interment will be in the Alfalfa Cemetery, Alfalfa, Oklahoma.
